Events
-
First thing in the morning, we receive a police report:
- Location of the Cthulu cult has been discovered. City Watch does not believe they have the remit or resources to pursue. Location and map provided to city council and cult-hunting council
- Christopher, from the cult of Socatoa and former leader of the Iron Suns, gave up some names and is otherwise cooperating. Naynay's name is on the list.
- Sojourner from LA, previously interrogated by Hugo Lamb, died in captivity last night. He helpfully answered all questions, but most seemed like garbled nonsense, because he spoke of places which did not exist. Priests of the Temple of Torag believe his mind was broken, and this led to his death.
-
Receive a letter from Temple of Gozreh, announcing they're performing a ritual to empower us as well. It will happen tomorrow evening.
-
Sheila G wants to call a meeting with the Cult Taskforce
- To the Temple of Torag! Bunch of sick elves, keeping the cultists busy.
- On to the representative. We make plea regarding needed forces for Cthulu Cult.

-
We move next to House Kelbore with regards to merfolk diplomatic relations. Family head will see us in 3 hours.
-
While waiting, Taliah returns to oversee improvements on lab. Rest of party goes to visit Harvey at the dojo.
- Harvey and Sir Oliver have a fey-to-fey chat
- Ceila catches up with Sheila G to discuss temple business.
- Three of the four missing guards were found, dazed and confused. The fourth is suspected a mole.
-
We return to the meeting with House Kelbore, and master Kollun Kelbore
- House planning to dispatch ship in north-western direction, suspected direction of migration, to seek diplomatic talks.
- They drag a heavy line behind the ship with shells, to announce their intentions
- We ask for and are given permissions to accompany House representatives on journey.

At Twilight, Sir Oliver meets with his contact, Caulder Blank
- Sir Oliver is given over management of the assets in Rhyme. Specifically the spies and their ambitions.
- The Twilight Court and Caulder Blank set up a fake cult to hide their moves.
- Caulder Blank also reveals that a new cult is rising, dedicated to Apollyon, the Horseman of Plague. Apparently the sometimes meet outside the Temple of Gozreh at night.
-
Shortly after the meeting, Sir Oliver immediately reveals all his new responsibilities, and brings the party to the Temple of Gozreh to see if they can find Apollyon. No dice.
-
The next morning, Nataliah meets with Celia at the Temple of Cayden Calien to try and sell them a Caryatid Column.
- While discussing, Taliah notices a "skilled worker" carrying a bundle very wrongly. She confronts the worker, and he obviously hides some truth. When told to drop the bundle, he bolts!

Other Notes
- I got laid off IRL. 🎉
- Cthulu cult base is roughly 2-days sail along the coast east-north-east.
- Estimated 200-400 armed cultists, at least 500 additional enslaved worked forced to a project in Cthulu's greatness. Death rate is high. Slaves are controlled by aboleth mucus, which allows them to breath underwater but not air.
- Because the cult is underwater, and of significant size, an immediate assault is challenging.
- We could seek out allies outside of Rhyme to assist. Near Rhyme there are...
- Merfolk kingdoms and tribes. They used to live closer, but they left due to pollution issues (according to them).
- House Kelbore in Rhyme may have established diplomatic relations already.

- Sheila G proposes building an anti-matter bomb.

- The boat we seized from the cult of Aldinach is our to do with as we wish. Temple of Gozreh recommends keeping it; Torag recommends selling it.
