# Tugger's Notes, 2023-09-20
#### Events
- The group sits in their hotel room.
- We are aware of a supposed meeting of the cult of Nyarlathotep in three days
at night. Hugh Lam wants us to capture a sojourner there alive.
- Two pieces of mail:
- First, a request to convene the council
- Second, a request from Sir Brightstone, a paladin of Torag, requests a
meeting with Sheila G.
- Decide to search for the Church of the Eternal Bloom, of Milani (Milanites)
- Head to lower level of city. Learn of a benefit being put on by members of
the Church for the families of the suicides. Contact learned of this
from the Commodities Exchange.
- Head to Commodities Exchange. Plenty of goods, guards, and golems moving
things. We manage to get a few names out of someone: Mr. Walini, an
import merchant; and Smelk, a community preacher or something. We know
where Walini's office is.
- We detour to Sheila G.'s church. Nobody really knows anything about
Milani or the Church of the Eternal Bloom that we don't already.
- We head to Mr. Walini's office, inquiring about the benefit. His clerk
let's us in.
- Walini has a small brass trinket with the holy symbol of Milani on it,
which he tries to hide from us, but discloses with minimal
resistance.
- Walini insists there is no problem with Milani, that they are a
peaceful and good deity, and that they are certainly _not_
associated with suicide.
- We get directed to the Green Bottle Inn as a potential place where
Smelk may be.
- We head to the Green Bottle Inn
- Bunch of folks dressed in green. While not members of the Greenlees,
their dress indicates the support the old criminal family, and
follow that lifestyle. They're dress-me-up criminals.
- Gavin shoots up the place, causing a big ruckus, and
getting us in trouble with the gangs
- We end up confronted by the gang leader, who offers to help us if we
never interfere with their business or turf again. Sheila G
completely misinterprets the offer, offends the gang, and we lose
that offer.
- We head back to the upper level, and meet with the creepy old guy
- He offers to try and find Smelk, but asks for time.
- Also offers us another super potion thing, and Twistfuck gives him
1050gp to make it
- Gavin and I head home. The rest of the group hit up a bar and tried to get
more information, but just got drunk.
- Once we get back to the hotel, the paladin of Torag, Sir Brightstone, was
waiting for us.
- In conversation with him, he asks why, once we scryed on him, we didn't
teleport to my brother. This stunned the group.
- Next day, we head to the church of Torag, and attempt to Scry on my brother
again.
- The Scrying attempt fails, so we decide to teleport to my brother's last
known location
- We show up in a room with a bunch of people with their arms and legs cut
off, who have also been blinded. Evidently these are "Joyful Things",
from the Zon-Kuthon church.
#### Locations
- Rime
#### NPCs and Notable Characters
- Hugo Lam, a random person that caught Sheila G.'s attention. Definitely not
shady. Had champagne.
#### Other Notes
- James' new character is Edgar, an investigator assigned to us by the courts to
help hunt down the cults.
- We were given evidence of a fight between fights. One of them may be a cult of
Vildeis, the other was Cthulu
