Create a new repository for installing and configuring Prometheus on a host. The role should cover the following tasks, and possibly more:

  • Install/update package
  • Add/ensure general Prometheus configuration
  • Ensure permissions set on Prometheus configuration
  • Create/ensure shared configuration directory
  • Ensure permissions set on shared configuration directory
  • Add/ensure Prometheus self-configuration
